Sony Ericsson W910 Dinobatkan Sebagai Handphone Terbaik pada Global Mobile Awards 2008

Bersamaan dengan ajang Mobile World Congress 2008 di Barcelona, GSM Association mengumumkan para pemenang Global Mobile Awards 2008.

Untuk Category 3 – Best Mobile Handset or Device, Sony Ericsson W910 Walkman® Phone terpilih sebagai pemenangnya, mengalahkan saingan-saingannya yaitu 3 Skypephone dari 3UK, LG Viewty (KU990) dariLG Electronics, 6500 Classic dari Nokia, dan SGH-G600 dari Samsung.

Selain itu, GSM Association juga menobatkan 3 Skypephone dari 3UK sebagai Highly Commended Phone.

3UK : 3 Skypephone

The 3 Skypephone mobile is a small, compact handset with Skype functionality built in – the first of its kind in the world. Skype contacts and calls are completely integrated into the address book and call logs, adding presence awareness to the consumer’s phonebook. The Skype functionality includes making and receiving Skype calls, Skype caller ID and Skype chat. The 3 Skypephone includes a 2 megapixel camera, MP3 player and internet browser and brings one of the internet’s most powerful applications to the mobile world using a mixture of IP and 3G voice technology. The handset offers one button access to a host of key internet services, instant messaging, search, Youtube and Facebook.

Judges’ comments: “The Skypephone is an innovative partnership between Hutchison 3 and Skype. In addition to the headline Skype service, the phone offers extremely good value for money with a wide range of features not previously seen at this price point.“

The entertainment-focused W910 Walkman® wins global mobile awards by redefining ‘music on mobile.

Mobile World Congress, Barcelona – 12 February 2008 – Sony Ericsson is delighted to announce that its W910 Walkman® phone has been awarded Best Handset at the GSM Association’s 13th Global Mobile Awards 2008.

Launched last year, the W910 Walkman® phone is designed for entertainment; whether music, 3D games, video, or high-speed Web access. It’s also geared to let consumers choose their music just the way they want it. Applications such as Shake control enable them to flick the phone to control games or skip and shuffle between music tracks while SenseMeTM lets them discover music to match their mood and tempo. With its 1GB Memory Stick Micro™ provided in box, the W910 Walkman® phone can hold over 900 songs* with room for plenty more thanks to its expandable memory.
